Joining our founder, the late Steve Lawrence AO, grandfather of Social Enterprise in Australia is Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft and one of the world’s leading philanthropists and The Honourable John Howard, 25th Prime Minister of Australia and a supporter of WorkVentures drive to provide access to computers for disadvantaged families.
This photo was taken at the launch of Microsoft’s Unlimited Potential program, a community initiative to help disadvantaged Australians overcome the digital divide by providing access to technology training advice and support.
At this event Bill Gates was quoted as saying “We and our partners are very committed to eliminating the digital divide, whether it be geography, age, income levels, all of those things that could hold people back from getting to a computer.”
Our relationship with Microsoft continues today and so does our work to eliminate digital disadvantage!
