New Premises Celebration and Graduation

New Premises Opening and Graduation!

Tuesday, 22nd November 2016 was a highlight for all of us at WorkVentures. Months of planning and many hours of preparation came together on the night with our special invited guests enjoying a celebration of not only the new workplace we’ve now settled into, but also the opportunity to acknowledge the graduating Trainees and their achievements.
Our very special guest, The Honourable Bob Carr, cut the ribbon on our new premises, presented certificates to our graduating Trainees, spoke eloquently and inspiringly about his long association with us and the future of training that supports both the kids needing jobs and the workplace needing staff.

Our Academy Manager

Our Academy Manager, Scott Dibb sharing the vision for our alternative training pathway to reduce youth unemployment.

A word or two from a successful graduate

One of our successful trainees, Jason Keogh, shared his journey from his days as a newbie trainee right through to his current job where he is continuing to build his certifications while enjoying a successful career.

Our unique gift to Bob Carr from the WorkVentures team

We weren’t going to let Bob go home without a gift and we made sure it was unique in the way we do things at WorkVentures. Pumpkins, chillies, herbs and other vegetables fresh picked  from our rooftop garden maintained by our staff was a tasty selection of produce!

Thank-you to our guests

Our guests were our valued staff, current and past, supporters, members, trainees, graduates, parents and friends. We can’t thank you all enough for coming along and making the night so heartwarming, exciting and fun.
Big thanks to Narrative Post for visually capturing the event.
